Chore Check — Terms of Service

Last updated: July 28, 2026

Chore Check is a parental-control app made by Jet. These terms are written for the parent or guardian who sets up and manages the app — that's who we mean by "you" below. A child using the camera to prove a chore is done is using the app under that parent's supervision and account, not agreeing to anything themselves.

Using the app

By downloading, installing, or using Chore Check, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

What the app does

Chore Check lets a parent set up chores and take an example ("answer-key") photo or video of each one done correctly. When it's time for a chore check, the app pauses internet access on the device and asks the child to take a matching photo or video. An AI service compares the two and decides whether the chore looks done. Passing restores internet access for a set "freedom" period; not passing (or timing out) keeps it paused until a passing attempt or a parent's PIN unlocks it.

The chore-matching decision is made by comparing images — it is not a guarantee of actual cleanliness, and it can occasionally be wrong in either direction. You're responsible for using your own judgment (and the parent PIN override) if a result looks off.

Chore Check Plus (subscription)

Chore Check Plus is an optional paid subscription ($4.99/month) that unlocks extra features (custom chores, scheduling, screen-time limits, and an immediate "block internet now" button). It's billed through Google Play and can be cancelled anytime from your Google Play subscriptions page — cancelling stops future billing but keeps Plus features until the current billing period ends.

Ads (free plan)

If you're not subscribed to Chore Check Plus, the app shows a full-screen ad after a chore is completed, served through Google AdMob. See our Privacy Policy for details on how that works.

Your responsibilities

No warranty

Chore Check is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don't guarantee the app or its AI judging will be error-free, uninterrupted, or perfectly accurate, or that it will work on every device or Android version.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jet won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app — including disputes between a parent and child about a chore result. Nothing here limits any liability that can't legally be limited.

Changes to the app or these terms

We may update the app or these terms over time. If these terms change, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and post the new version at this same address.

Ending use

You can stop using Chore Check at any time by uninstalling it, which removes all of its data from your device (see the Privacy Policy for details).
